FlexCAD is a plant layout and piping design tool. Piping design is a profession learned through experience and practiced with professional intuition. Many piping design applications sacrifice desktop productivity with a top-down architecture, which requires the professional piper to be both adept with CAD and be a computer expert as well. PI Integrated Systems has taken a different approach to process and petrochemical plant design software, a "back to basics" approach that reflects the experience and the intuitiveness of the professional piper.
Simply put, FlexCAD software was created by pipers for pipers.
The FlexCAD family of products includes FLOW, PIPE, ISO/SPEC, and STEEL and runs on AutoCAD R2000 through R2016. The FlexCAD Integrated Design System is based on a parametric, two-dimensional ANSI Standard symbol library, offering the end-user the most direct, most efficient approach to creating structural plans and elevations; the software also provides standard steel details, stairs, ladders, and weight table & weld symbol generators.
PI's Integrated Design System is composed of five separate FlexCAD modules named Flow, Pipe, Steel, ISO, and 3DX. While each module has its own unique features, the IDS Suite is characterized by certain qualities that make it possible for any piper to create expert designs with ease.
FlexCAD is also an add-in software for AutoCAD and Inventor, designed to enhance designing FlexLink conveyors and structural system and provide a Bill of Material in the respective software's to facilitate a seamless interface to the Online Store.
